So, Brownie went in today for the second time in less than a week. Originally she was scheduled to have her eye removed last Thursday but things changed. When they tried to listen to her heart pre-op they couldn't hear it so they took some X-rays. Turns out they saw a mass and what looked like bone chips in her stomach. She came home and we rescheduled for today to see if stuff passed.
Today's X-rays show the mass and the chips have grown since last week, six days actually, by an inch. Looks like the cancer diagnosed last year has spread and at this rate Brownie probably has only a few weeks left.
The thing is, except that her eye bothers her (likely has a tumor like the one removed last year did) she acts like she feels fine..... she eats fine, enjoys her meals, sleeps, walks into stuff because she is blind as a bat but gives every appearance of being a happy dog.
As long as she isn't in pain we will soldier on...... gods this is hard.
I knew she didn't have long left, she is almost 15 and has had valley fever problems for years, has lost weight lately and, like I said, was diagnosed with cancer last year but still......
